Overview
The Witzenberg Municipality Council consists of twenty three elected Councillors, which run in coalition as per the results of the November 2021 election.
Executive Mayor Trevor Abrahams
Cllr Trevor Abrahams was officially appointed as the Executive Mayor of Witzenberg Municipality at a Special Council meeting on 14 December 2023. Cllr Trevor Abrahams aims to focus upon alleviating the plight of the poor, creating opportunities for realistic and sustainable economic development, establishing safe, open recreational spaces for the youth, improving service delivery standards as well as marketing Witzenberg to be nationally competitive as a tourism destination.
