Human Settlements, Land Affairs

Overview

Witzenberg Municipality offers support to issues of land affairs through our Planning Services, which encompasses building control and spatial planning. We also have a Human Settlements section that deals with management of rental stock, administration of the housing waiting list, project management of housing infrastructure commissioned by other government entities, management of service plots and temporary support to displaced residents as the result of emergency. Our Environment & Amenities section administers our public facilities such as sports fields, public netball and tennis courts, community halls as well as nature reserves, rivers and greening initiatives.
