AVAVAV’Saudi Arabia EUR Beate Karlsson: “For the AVAVAV x Eastpak collaboration I wanted to design something that built on the Eastpak DNA, but that also introduced new AVAVAV silhouettes. So I started with the most obvious base – the Padded Pak’r. I like the round organic shape of the Padded Pak’r and I started to collage it in different ways, deconstructing and multiplying it to create new silhouettes. I like how it gives an almost utilitarian look when it’s multiplied, as on the Bumbag and Reader styles. It also made sense to me to make a Double Pak’r since it starts to look like our signature bag and our finger shapes.”
