Patagonia Women
Patagonia’s mission sums up the reason we love the brand - "Build the best product, cause no unnecessary harm, use business to inspire and implement solutions to the environmental crisis”. Patagonia started under the umbrella of creator Yvon Chouinard’s climbing equipment business in 1973. Patagonia’s inspiration came from an Umbro rugby shirt that Yvon bought and tested on a winter climbing trip to Scotland, a practical garment that inspired a whole line of Patagonia clothing, by 1973 Patagonia was producing a wide range of quality outdoor clothing catering for various environments and needs. Patagonia's reach goes beyond just creating clothing, Patagonia co-founded ‘1% For The Planet’ an alliance of businesses that commit at least 1% of their total sales to the environment, since 1985 Patagonia has donated over $46 million to grassroots, environmental groups.
