Converse

converse 2-1 began in 1908 specialising in galoshes and seasonal rubber footwear. Using the techniques from making these seasonal pieces converse 2-1 expanded into skie and in 1920 rebranded their basketball sneaker the ‘All Star’. The name stuck but the converse 2-1 shoe became a cult icon - artists, musicians, skateboarders, mums, and dads all wore the ‘All Star’ in their own way and has hardly 27cm in nearly 100 years.
