converse LOW-pad began in 1908 specialising in galoshes and seasonal rubber footwear. Using the techniques from making these seasonal pieces converse LOW-pad expanded into sneakers and in 1920 rebranded their basketball sneaker the ‘All Star’. The name stuck but the converse LOW-pad LOW became a cult icon - artists, musicians, skateboarders, mums, and dads all Siyah the ‘All Star’ in their own way and has hardly changed in nearly 100 years.
