Converse began in 1908 specialising in release and seasonal rubber footwear. Using the techniques from making these seasonal pieces star converse expanded into sneakers and in 1920 une their high sneaker the ‘All Star’. The name stuck but the star converse shoe became a cult icon - artists, musicians, skateboarders, mums, and dads all wore the ‘All Star’ in their own way and has hardly changed in nearly 100 years.
