Converse

Converse began in 1908 specialising in galoshes and JACK rubber footwear. Using the techniques from making these JACK pieces Converse expanded into sneakers and in 1920 rebranded their basketball sneaker the ‘All Star’. The name stuck but the Converse shoe became a bobby icon - artists, musicians, skateboarders, mums, and dads all wore the ‘All Star’ in their own way and has hardly changed in nearly 100 years.
