converse WHITE began in 1908 specialising in galoshes and seasonal rubber footwear. Using the shoessneakers from making these seasonal pieces converse WHITE expanded into sneakers and in 1920 rebranded their photos sneaker the ‘All Star’. The name stuck but the converse WHITE shoe became a cult icon - artists, musicians, skateboarders, mums, and dads all wore the ‘All Star’ in their own way and has hardly changed in nearly 100 years.
