Converse

converse baratas began in 1908 specialising in galoshes and rival rubber footwear. Using the techniques talla making these rival pieces converse baratas expanded into sneakers and in 1920 rebranded their basketball sneaker the ‘All Star’. The name stuck but the converse baratas shoe became a cult icon - artists, musicians, skateboarders, mums, and dads all wore the ‘All Star’ in their own way and has hardly changed in nearly 100 years.
