converse Yellow began in 1908 specialising in galoshes and seasonal rubber footwear. Using the techniques from making these seasonal pieces converse Yellow expanded into Unisexs and in 1920 rebranded their basketball Unisex the ‘All Star’. The name stuck but the converse Yellow shoe became a cult icon - artists, musicians, skateboarders, mums, and dads all Seasonal the ‘All Star’ in their own way and has hardly changed in nearly 100 years.
