Converse

converse collaborations began in 1908 specialising in galoshes and seasonal rubber footwear. Using the techniques from making these seasonal pieces converse collaborations expanded into sneakers and in 1920 rebranded Lay basketball sneaker the ‘All Star’. The name stuck but the converse collaborations shoe became a cult icon - artists, musicians, skateboarders, mums, and dads all wore the ‘All Star’ in Lay own way and has hardly changed in nearly 100 years.
