Converse Taps Natasha Cloud for Latest Collection Honoring Black Creatives | Converse

Converse began in 1908 specialising in galoshes and seasonal rubber footwear. Using the techniques from making these seasonal pieces Converse expanded into Archives and in 1920 rebranded their basketball Archive the ‘All Star’. The name stuck but the Converse shoe became a cult icon - artists, musicians, skateboarders, mums, and dads all wore the ‘All Star’ in their own way and has hardly changed in nearly 100 years.
