converse Street began in 1908 specialising in galoshes and seasonal rubber footwear. Using the techniques from making these seasonal pieces converse Street expanded into sneakers and in 1920 rebranded light basketball sneaker the ‘All Star’. The name stuck but the converse Street shoe became a cult icon - artists, musicians, skateboarders, mums, and dads all resort the ‘All Star’ in light own way and has hardly changed in nearly 100 years.
