converse A-COLD-WALL began in 1908 specialising in galoshes and seasonal rubber footwear. Using the techniques from making these seasonal pieces converse A-COLD-WALL expanded into sneakers and in 1920 rebranded their basketball sneaker the ‘All Star’. The name stuck but the converse A-COLD-WALL shoe became a cult icon - artists, musicians, skateboarders, mums, and dads all wore the ‘All Star’ in their own way and has hardly changed in nearly 100 years.
