Water Restrictions Suspended

In terms of the Drought Management Plan, approved by Council, water restrictions have been suspended as from 01 July 2018, due to the current capacity of our water supply.

Koekedouw Dam = 80,5%  (Sufficient water supply for Ceres and surrounding towns for 21 months, based on   the quota of 10 million m3 per year)

Tulbagh Dam = 100%  (Sufficient water supply for Tulbagh for 6 months, the flow is currently exceeding capacity)

We will post updates concerning the dam levels as we monitor and record our rainfall and storage    capacity, however, we still urge the public to continue with water saving efforts to conserve our water supply as the situation is still tenuous.  Every drop counts!
