National Book Week

National Book Week was launched at Op-die-Berg Library on 03 September 2018 in collaboration with Western Cape Government, Witzenberg Municipality, the Western Cape Library Service and the South African Book Development Council.

From this launch, outreach programmes will be initiated at N’Duli Library and Prince Alfred’s Hamlet Library, ensuring that social inclusivity and longevity of this initiative is achieved in the area.

The aim of this initiative is ultimately to advocate the benefits of reading, illustrating its crucial role and influence upon the success of children as future leaders.

Books from various donors and sponsors were provided for our local libraries at this event.
