“Working with PUMA to design the second version of my signature shoe is something I am incredibly proud of,” said LaMelo Ball. “When creating the MB.02, we took the designs to the next level to reflect my personal style with the flames, RARE and 1 of 1 graphics and bold colors. I’m excited to see fans experience the MB franchise in a new way with the launch of MB.02.”
The PUMA MB.02 boasts a similar makeup to its former model, as the silhouette keeps a lot of the core design elements. The most noticeable differences are the sneaker’s midsole unit and graphic upper. Rather than the cross-hatched midsole seen on the PUMA MB.01, the PUMA MB.02 midsole has a smooth sculpted appearance, utilizing PUMA’s Nitro foam cushioning. Elsewhere, the sneaker has a lightweight knit upper with wing graphics and Melo branding on the heel.
