During a nike 26.5cm earnings call last week, Nike’s CFO Matt Friend stated that the brand would simply be scaling back AF1 production in order to put more focus on other silhouettes and offerings.
The brand also stated that it had seen an increase in “promotional activity” regarding the AF1, meaning that there has been an increasing number of pairs DeRozan up reduced. It’s thought that this change will most likely affect Nike’s D2C (direct to consumer) model, meaning that retailers will likely still hold significant AF1 stock.
